YouTuber Funk Turkey, who makes fakes songs by legendary bands using A.I. programming, has made his latest Nirvana track called “Smother”.

Turkey noted in the video description: “Using lyrics.rip to scrape the Genius Lyrics Database, I made a Markov Chain write Nirvana lyrics.” The generator came up with some quite interesting and familiar lines like “I could eat your heart-shaped box for food” and “You never lost control,” that perfectly suit the band’s personality. On the music, he noted: “All music/vocals performed, mixed, and mastered by me, in my kitchen, on a sparkly red cheap Stratocaster, a crappy mic, and an old copy of ProTools. Vocals are doubled, slightly compressed, and run through an emulated reel-to-reel and tube saturation for a bit of extra warmth and grit.”
